85 MM f/1.8 Canon Lens Review and Sample Images

I'm trying to think of some words to describe this lens........ it's AH-MAZING.Now, granted, I've been shooting with a standard kit lens on auto settings since I got the camera (little to no experience with DSLRs), so maybe this opinion is biased, but so far, I'm really in love. I shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel T5i , and was really looking for that "wow" bokeh factor, and if you don't know what bokeh is, it's basically the background blur in a photo. I was incredibly torn between the Canon 50mm 1.4 and the Canon 85mm 1.8 because I knew from other reasearch that both lenses are absolutely wonderful, however, after weeks of extensive research, I finally decided on the 85 mm 1.8. I don't have the 50mm to compare it to, but based off of other reviews and although the quality of what they can create is very similar, the 85mm creates a sharper image while creating just a little bit better depth of field. I've had the lens for about a month or so now, and my honest opinion is that it's really incredible. Keep in mind that I'm not a professional photographer, but I do enjoy taking photos for instagram and my blog and was really looking for the high quality "wow" factor in photos.During my research, samples really helped me decide on a lens, so here are a few of mine just within the first few days of owning the lens. All of these are shot in manual settings with ISO of 200-400.*The editing software I use is Lightroom.*IMG_0265addiaddi2addi3IMG_0460-2 copyIMG_0506-2IMG_0109-2IMG_0053-3IMG_0121-2IMG_0064-2IMG_0140-3.jpgIMG_0144 copy-2.jpgimage8.JPG
